Butch Antal & the Storyville Stompers

Butch Antal, trumpet player and leader of the group, has experience that includes performing and recording with such notables as Henry Mancini, Peggy Lee, Nancy Wilson, and host of others. Butch was named outstanding performer of the 91-92 seasons by the Missouri Performing Traditions Program. Recently Butch recorded on an interactive jazz program being used at the Harlem Children's Museum. Aside form the Stompers, he also leads the vintage Big Band.
The Storyville Stompers is a group started in the late 1960's when Butch Antal was still in high school. His interest in classic jazz took hold from days playing in the Gaslight District in St. Louis. He was known to duck out of his performances during breaks with a rock band and go listen to some of the old jazz masters across the street. Over the years, the group has been developing repertoire and personnel to best give the right rendition of Classic Jazz.
